Last-minute Call for Papers

I sit on the organizing committee for the SBL section Christian Theology and the Bible. We are in the middle of a four-year plan to discuss the four senses of Scripture. This year’s topic is the tropological or moral sense. Our open session could use a few more last-minute proposals. The deadline is tonight at 11:59pm. Think about it. The call for the open session reads:

For our open session, we solicit papers on the tropological (moral) sense of Scripture that will focus on (a) tropological readings of a particular text or set of texts; (b) the tropological readings of a specific author or theologian; or (c) tropological readings that stem from a particular movement or time period in the history of interpretation (e.g., patristic, medieval, reformation).
