Throughout the year I plop songs I like into this playlist [NB: all playlists are in alphabetical or chronological order and may contain songs with lyrics that are offensive to sensitive ears.]:
I’ll star my favorite songs among the few hundred I’ve plopped into the above playlist. Then toward the end of the year I’ll fill out a playlist of these starred songs to create a nice round Top ### songs for year ####. This year I filled it out to the Top 100 Songs of 2013. I tried to avoid more than one song by any one artist or group, but there were some I just couldn’t keep off the list.
If there is an album that I find myself returning to frequently, it goes into my Top Albums of the Year list. I’ve filled this playlist out to a Top 25 Albums of 2013.
